Arrive/Doors Open - 7:30 a.m.

  • Please be prompt. Be ready for practice on the football field.

  • Tons of help is needed to unload the trailer and move equipment!

  • Props: no books needed but large book and bookshelf. Set up speakers and audio

Practice Lot Warm-Up & Early Morning Run-Through - 5:45 a.m.

Attendance in Band Room/Load Bus - 6:35 a.m.

Depart GHS - 6:45 a.m.

  • Potential stop for restrooms on the way if time allows.

Arrive at Lafayette-Jefferson HS - 10:00 a.m.

  • Begin unloading and changing into uniforms

Line Up in Transit Block - 11:30 a.m.

Transit - 11:35 a.m.

Physical Warm-Up - 11:40 - 11:55 a.m.

Transit - 11:55 a.m.

Music Warm-Up - 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.

  • Halftime performance, dismissal afterwards

  • Afterwards, go to the student section to watch other groups perform. Concessions are available, too. The student section is located in the visitor section of the stands. Sit as a band and cheer together!

  • Drum Majors report for awards at 9:30

  • The WHOLE BAND must be present together for awards. You must all sit together as a group.

~10:45 - Depart Carroll High School

  • Students will meet with Mr. Hettinger briefly post-awards and head back to GHS directly afterwards. Equipment should be put away in the band room upon arrival. Students are dismissed after their things are packed up.

  • We’ll have a 30-40 minute lunch break, with at least one other 10 minute break in this chunk

    • Pack a Lunch, please. No leaving school grounds. It can be brought to you if needed

1:30 - Load Trailers, Rest, Get Ready for Contest

  • Wind instruments and flags will go under the bus. Uniforms will go on the bus with you.

3:00 - Attendance in Band Room

4:25 - Arrive at Bluffton High School

4:55 - Change into Uniforms

Parent Preview

We will present our annual parent preview performance at the practice lot!

You are welcome to come onto the field and watch students perform. We will do 2 run-throughs, and let the students go. This is the demonstration of everything they have learned from June through band camp! Please park outside the PAC, near Door 10.
