The best opportunity to join band is when you’re entering 5th grade! You have the opportunity to join band to take place of your general music course to take music once per week.
In band, you will:

how to get started with band this year…
Now is the time to get excited about being a part of the Garrett Band Program! This letter is an invitation to you and your student to join band! This is an extremely exciting time as it opens the door the student’s lifelong journey of playing music!
Every student interested in joining band needs to attend one of the instrument fitting nights. Fittings will be done by appointment as a safety precaution. Go HERE to schedule your appointment ASAP! Additionally, it is important to mention that all instruments are sanitized before and after a student’s use according to the NAfME/NAMM Instrument Cleaning Guidelines. (https://nafme.org/covid-19-instrument-cleaning-guidelines/). If the times below do not work, let me know so that we may work together to find a time that works best.
What will happen at the instrument fitting night:
· Meet the Band Director!
· Try instruments and see what you like and are most successful with!
· Get signed up for being a part of band class by reserving a rental!
· Get information about band class!
Being good at playing an instrument is fun, and joining band is one of the best decisions that you will ever make! I am looking forward to seeing you here and get you started with the Garrett Band Program!
